Enrollment & Availability

Is P&J Tender Care currently accepting new enrollments?

Openings vary by center, classroom, and age group. Contact your preferred location to discuss current availability or future care needs.

How do I enroll my child?

Contact your preferred center. Our staff will discuss your child’s age, anticipated start date, care schedule, and availability, then explain the next enrollment steps.

Can I schedule a tour before enrolling?

Yes. We encourage families to visit, meet our team, and explore the classrooms. Submit a tour request for your preferred center; a staff member will confirm a time.

How far in advance should I contact P&J about infant care?

Contact us as early as possible, even if care is needed months from now. Moline and Rock Island offer infant care. Future openings must be confirmed by staff.

Can I join a waiting list if a classroom is full?

Ask the center about its current follow-up or waiting-list process. Online waiting-list enrollment is not available.

What information do I need to begin enrollment?

For an initial inquiry, share your contact information, child’s age, preferred location, anticipated start date, and care schedule. Staff will provide the current enrollment checklist and explain how to submit required documents.

Tuition & CCAP Assistance

How much does childcare cost?

Please contact your preferred P&J center for current tuition information based on your child’s program and care needs. Staff can explain attendance and billing arrangements.

Do you offer daily, weekly, or monthly tuition arrangements?

Contact your center to discuss applicable rates and billing arrangements. Monthly costs depend on the program, attendance schedule, and billing arrangements; please request information for your family’s needs.

Do you offer part-time childcare?

Ask your preferred center about classroom availability and scheduling policies. A particular part-time or drop-in schedule is not guaranteed.

Do you accept Illinois CCAP childcare assistance?

Yes. P&J works with families participating in the Illinois Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). Eligibility and approvals are determined by the program, not P&J.

Can P&J help me apply for childcare assistance?

Our team can help families understand the CCAP application process and connect with Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R). Contact your center for assistance.

Daily Care & Learning

What does a typical day look like at P&J?

Our programs combine nurturing relationships, play-based learning, and developmentally appropriate experiences. Ask your child’s center about the current classroom routine, outdoor time, and rest arrangements.

How do children learn through play?

Creative Curriculum and play-based experiences encourage children to explore, solve problems, communicate, and build independence with caring guidance from educators.

How do teachers support social and emotional development?

Through caring relationships and play, we help children build friendships, express feelings, develop confidence, and learn to work with others.

How do parents receive updates?

Brightwheel is our parent and classroom communication platform. Your center can explain how to get connected and how classroom updates are shared.

Are meals and snacks provided?

Yes. All three centers provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack prepared on site. Contact your center about your child’s dietary needs and the applicable procedures.

How do you support children adjusting to childcare?

We partner with families as children get to know their educators and classroom. Share your child’s routines and concerns with staff, and ask about the center’s approach to starting care.
